West Indies cricketer mocked by Sajid Khan after dismissal, Jomel Warrican took his revenge after taking his wicket, watch video

New Delhi: On a pitch ideal for spinners, an intense battle unfolded between West Indies and Pakistan in the second Test at Multan. Pakistan aimed to tilt the game in their favor with a rank-turner wicket, but West Indies defied the odds to claim a historic victory. Jomel Warrican was the standout bowler for the Windies, taking 9 wickets in the match. Among his wickets, the dismissal of Pakistan spinner Sajid Khan was undoubtedly the most entertaining, as Warrican delivered a memorable send-off to the batter.

It was Sajid Khan who had given Warrican a send-off in the second innings after dismissing the West Indies star. However, in the final innings, Warrican got his revenge by dismissing Sajid and delivering a “you can’t see me” send-off, replicating the gesture the Pakistan spinner had made earlier in the match.

Warrican was also named Player of the Series for his outstanding all-round performance. Reflecting on his success, he said, “Speeds were very important, bowling slower was very effective, and once I worked it out, it worked to my advantage. I just backed myself, backed my ability to find the boundaries and rotate the strike. We were backing ourselves to win the game; we had the belief after bowling them out cheaply in the first innings. Variation in pace, hitting the same length over and over, and just bowling consistently in the same area were key to our success.”

As a result of their defeat in the second Test at Multan, Pakistan finished at the bottom of the World Test Championship points table for the first time in history.
