Shivam Dube creates new RECORD, becomes first player in world to achieve…

New Delhi: Indian all rounder Shivam Dube created history during the 5th t20 against England at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The last T20 was dominated by Abhishek Sharma by a blistering century, scoring 135 of just 54 balls. Shivam Dube played a crucial role in setting target of 248 in 20 overs. He also played a crucial role while bowling, took the wicket of Phil Salt and Jacob Bethell helping India to win big by margin of 150 runs.

Shivam Dube created a unique record after India sealed a 4-1 series victory. Initially not part of the squad, Dube was called up as a replacement after Rinku Singh and Nitish Reddy suffered injury setbacks. While Reddy was ruled out of the series, Rinku missed the second and third T20Is. Dube, along with Ramandeep Singh, was brought in as a replacement for the injured players, and he went on to make a significant impact during the series.

Dube made his series debut in the fourth T20I in Pune, where India secured a 15-run victory. This win marked a milestone for Dube, extending his consecutive T20I wins to 30, making him the first player in the world to achieve such a remarkable feat.

Dube, who has played 35 T20Is so far, made his debut for India against Bangladesh on November 3, 2019, in Delhi, where India lost by 7 wickets. In his fifth T20I, India suffered another loss to Bangladesh by 8 wickets. Remarkably, that was the last time India lost a match with Dube in the team, as he has since been part of a historic winning streak.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took to X to congratulate Shivam Dube for his remarkable achievement in T20Is. The post read, “If Dube plays, India wins. 30-0 and still going strong #WhistlePodu #INDvENG,” along with a picture celebrating his feat. The caption highlighted, “Longest streak without defeat in men’s T20Is! 30-0. Since 11/12/2019.”
