New Delhi: Ravichandran Ashwin has said goodbye to international cricket. Ashwin retired in the middle of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After the Gaba Test, Ashwin announced his retirement through a press conference. Ashwin has been an important player for Team India in Test cricket for a long time. Ashwin, who plays as a spinner in the team, has also done wonders with the bat on many occasions, especially in Test cricket. So let’s know who has scored more centuries between Dhoni and Ashwin.
It is worth noting that Ashwin and Dhoni have scored equal 6 centuries each in their respective Test careers. Dhoni used to play for the team as a wicketkeeper-batter, while Ashwin used to play as a spinner or it can be said that spin-bowling all-rounder. Despite this, both of them scored 6 centuries each in their Test careers.
Even though both have an equal number of Test centuries, Ashwin has scored more centuries than Dhoni on foreign soil. Dhoni scored 5 out of 6 Test centuries in India and 1 in Pakistan. Ravichandran Ashwin: Let us tell you that Ravichandran Ashwin played 106 test matches in his career. While bowling in 200 innings of these matches, he scored 537 runs at an average of 24.00, in which the match-best figure was 13/140. Apart from this, Ashwin scored 3503 runs at an average of 25.75 while batting in 151 innings, in which he scored 6 centuries and 14 half-centuries. During this, his highest score was 124 runs.
