IPL 2024 runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been dealt an injury blow even before IPL 2025 season can get underway in a couple of week’s time. England all-rounder Brydon Carse, who was bought for Rs 1 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction last year, has been ruled out of the season with toe injury.
Carse was ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as well after sustaining the injury in England’s first match against Australia. Kavya Maran-owned SRH have replaced Carse with South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder.
“Carse is ruled out of the IPL 2025 due to an injury and his replacement Mulder, who is an all-rounder, will join SRH for Rs 75 Lakh,” a statement from IPL governing council read.
Mulder has played 11 T20Is in addition to 18 Tests and 25 ODIs. He has picked 60 wickets in international cricket and has scored 970 international runs.
