IPL 2025: Ahead of official sales CSK tickets on resell platform rises to Rs…

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have yet to release official tickets for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, but tickets for their matches have already surfaced on a major reselling platform.

When this report was last checked on Viagogo, a single KMK Lower ticket for CSK’s opening match against Mumbai Indians at Chepauk on March 23 was listed at a staggering Rs 123,593.

Tickets are currently available across 12 price categories, with the lowest priced at Rs 17,804. The website also noted that a KMK Lower ticket was purchased for Rs 123,593 two days ago. At the moment, 84 tickets remain for the high-profile match against Mumbai.

Surprisingly, even lower stand tickets, which don’t include hospitality and are located near the square of the wicket, are being sold for 10 times their original price. For instance, a D lower ticket, priced at Rs 1700 last season, is now listed at Rs 20,600 for the same Mumbai game.

Currently, tickets for six out of seven home matches are listed on Viagogo.

Tickets are also available for various venues, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. However, there are no tickets yet for the season opener between Kolkata and Bengaluru at Eden Gardens on March 22. In total, tickets for more than 50 matches are up for sale.

Purchasing tickets from reselling platforms carries inherent risks, and buyers should be mindful of these potential issues. Typically, these warnings are mentioned on the back of tickets bought through official ticketing channels.
