New Delhi: While Australian cricket has dominated ICC events, securing the most trophies, Indian cricket is often regarded as the driving force behind the sport’s global popularity. Over the past two decades, Indian cricket has made significant strides, consistently challenging Australia and other leading nations across all formats. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has played a pivotal role in this rise. Through the Indian Premier League (IPL), the BCCI has introduced a premier franchise-based T20 league that has reshaped the cricketing landscape. As a result, when Australian cricketers were asked to share their thoughts on the Indian board, they had nothing but praise.
In a video shared on social media, several Australian cricketers were asked to define the BCCI, the ICC, and Indian cricket as a whole in just one word each. The responses they gave were nothing short of epic.

The likes of Travis Head and Steve Smith arguably gave the most intriguing responses. While Head stood by his verdict, Smith later changed his answer, dismissing his initial response as “a joke.”
At present, the Indian and Australian teams are engaged in a gripping 5-match Test series, with the scores tied at 1-1 after the first three matches. India claimed victory in the opening Test in Perth, while Australia bounced back with a strong performance to win the second match in Adelaide. The two teams are now set to face off in Melbourne, with the next match scheduled to begin on December 26.
India and Australia will lock horns in the Boxing Day Test match from December 26th at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in the fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Both teams are eager for a victory to gain an upper hand in the series and strengthen their chances of advancing to the World Test Championship final in 2025, which will be held in England next year.
