There were widespread rumors that India would not don jerseys displaying the Pakistan logo as part of the tournament’s official branding. Nevertheless, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia assured India Today that the Indian team will comply with the ICC’s regulations.

At the ICC awards, Rohit Sharma received recognition by being selected for the ICC ODI team of the year, while Ravindra Jadeja was included in the Test team. Additionally, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh were recognized in the ICC T20I team of the year, with Arshdeep also earning the distinguished title of T20I cricketer of the year following an impressive performance in the format.

He concluded the T20 World Cup 2024 as one of the top wicket-takers, claiming 17 wickets overall, and wrapped up the year with a total of 36 wickets in 18 matches.
