Hero Motosports Team Rally dominates stage 7 at Dakar 2025, Nacho Cornejo stays in overall top-10

Hero MotoSports Team Rally, the motorsport team of the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters – Hero MotoCorp, has completed the seventh stage at the Dakar Rally 2025. Continuing his impressive performance at this year’s edition of the world’s toughest rally, Hero rider Nacho Cornejo crossed the finish line today with the 7th fastest time. This result maintains his 8th position in the overall rankings.

Currently, in his tenth Dakar rally and his third race outing with Hero MotoSports, Nacho Cornejo is poised to spearhead the team’s charge, driving momentum forward in the rally, especially after the unfortunate exit of his teammates Sebastian Bühler and Ross Branch. Looking in the top form, Cornejo is laser-focused on securing a commendable finish for Hero MotoSports at Dakar 2025.

The special stage’s distance was slightly shortened by 50 km due to the late arrivals of yesterday’s rescue teams, and early morning rains turned the already challenging temperatures into a test of endurance.

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s Stage 8, as the Dakar Rally reaches its critical phase, with thousands of kilometres already logged, it will be a real test of the physical and mental endurance of the competitors, while mechanical reliability will be crucial. The competition will transform into a gruelling test of survival in tomorrow’s stage that features 484 km of timed specials as the rally moves eastwards to Riyadh.

Nacho Cornejo, Rider, Hero MotoSports Team Rally, said:
“Stage 7 is done and I had a lot of fun riding through the desert today. With each passing day, I’m feeling more confident on my bike and I’m determined to make up ground in the overall standings. My goal is to deliver a strong result for my incredible team, who’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes. Thanks to everyone for their unwavering support – we’ll keep pushing our limits and giving it our all, day by day!”
