Centre restricts entry of foreigners to Manipur, Mizoram & Nagaland​

India’s Ministry of Home Affairs has reinstated Protected Area Permits for Manipur, Nagaland, and Mizoram due to security concerns over influx from neighboring countries. This reverses a 2010 decision easing travel restrictions to boost tourism. Foreigners, excluding those from China, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, will now need permits.
