New Delhi: India pacer Arshdeep Singh is on the verge of a significant milestone in the third T20I between India and England, scheduled for Tuesday evening in Rajkot. The 25-year-old is aiming to break Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf‘s record and become the fastest pacer to reach 100 T20I wickets, a remarkable achievement in his career.
Arshdeep Singh has taken 98 wickets in 62 T20Is and has established himself as one of the most consistent bowlers in the shortest format over the past two years. He is now just two wickets away from reaching the 100-wicket milestone in T20Is.
Haris Rauf currently holds the record for the fastest pacer to take 100 wickets, achieving the feat in his 72nd T20I match during the T20 World Cup last year against Canada in New York.
As expected, spinners dominate the list of fastest to 100 T20I wickets, with Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan leading the charge. Rashid reached the milestone in just 53 games, followed closely by Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane, who achieved the feat in 54 matches. Their impressive consistency has set a high bar for bowlers in the shortest format.
