Adam Gilchrist BOLD statement to praise Jasprit Bumrah:’He would have lowered Don Bradman’s average’

New Delhi: Don Bradman is considered the greatest of all time, with an unmatched Test batting average of 99.96. However, Australian legend Adam Gilchrist believes that Jasprit Bumrah would have significantly impacted Bradman’s average.

Jasprit Bumrah’s exceptional performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where he claimed 32 wickets and was named Player of the Series despite India’s 1-3 loss, impressed Adam Gilchrist. He praised Bumrah’s performance as beyond any rating, highlighting the pacer’s skill and impact.

To emphasize Bumrah’s brilliance, Adam Gilchrist boldly claimed that if Don Bradman had faced the Indian pacer, his average would have been significantly lower than 99, possibly around 35.

“I’m not rating him; no number can match what he is in world sport. He would have torn through Bradman’s peak in a matter of balls. His average would have been far below 99 if they faced each other. I’d give Bradman a mere 35 against Bumrah. No reward is high enough for him,” Gilchrist stated on the Club Prairie Fire Podcast.
