Kohli had a heated exchange with a female Australian reporter at Melbourne airport. The incident took place when Kohli arrived in Melbourne with his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, and their children on Thursday, December 19.
An Australian Channel 7 journalist recorded a video of Kohli’s family, which reportedly angered the cricketer, as per local media. Kohli was especially frustrated by the invasion of his family’s privacy. He approached the reporter, asking to see the photos and videos taken. The cricketer then requested that any content featuring his family be deleted while permitting her to keep any footage of him alone.
Under Australian law, there are no restrictions on photographing or filming celebrities in public places, which likely complicated the matter. “With my kids, I need some privacy. You can’t film without asking me,” he told the media at the airport.
