New Delhi: In the 12th match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, India faces New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium. After winning the toss, New Zealand chose to bowl first, allowing India to bat. The New Zealand bowlers made an early impact by dismissing both Indian openers. Virat Kohli came in and looked in good form, but unfortunately, he was dismissed by Matt Henry for 11 off 14 balls.
Glenn Phillips played a key role in Kohli’s dismissal, with the crowd at Dubai International Stadium left in shock as Phillips took a stunning catch to send the Indian star back to the pavilion.

Virat Kohli, India’s cricketing icon, added another milestone to his illustrious career on Sunday, making his 300th appearance in ODIs. As India faced New Zealand in their final Group A match of the ICC Champions Trophy, Kohli achieved a significant feat. Having previously played his 200th ODI against the same opponents, he became the 7th Indian cricketer and the 18th overall to reach the 300-match milestone. A special moment in history awaited Virat as he took to the field for his landmark 300th ODI.
In addition to his 300th ODI, Kohli made another record by becoming the first player to have played at least 100 Tests and 100 T20Is while also reaching 300 one-day internationals. While 18 players have played 300 ODIs for their nations, none of them had participated in 100 matches in both Tests and T20Is before achieving this milestone.
