Team India and Punjab Kings leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma are on their way to getting a divorce. Chahal and his wife are been living apart with Dhanashree moving out of her husband’s house and back to her parent’s place over a month back.
The couple have deleted all their pictures together from their Instagram handles as well. Amid this news, Dhanashree was seen in a video with top Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal in a video which viral on social media.
Dhanashree posted the video with the caption, “Happiest when shooting”. The video had over 92000 likes in just over a day.

Fans started trolling Dhanashree Verma immediately with comments like, “happiest when cheating” and “Dhanashree UNFOLLOW” on the video on Instagram.
Last month, Chahal requested fans on social media to refrain from commenting on his marital status with Dhanashree Verma. Chahal took to his Instagram stories and said that he had noticed certain social media posts speculating on matters that ‘may or may not be true’.
“As a son, a brother and a friend, I humbly request everyone not to indulge in these speculations, as they have caused immense pain to me and my family,” Chahal had written on his post.
Dhanashree Verma is a successful Bollywood choreographer and has appeared in plenty of music videos with top stars before.
Meanwhile, Chahal is set to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season next month. He was bought for Rs 18 crore by the Punjab Kings and their head coach Ricky Ponting revealed why the leg-spinner was a ‘must-buy’ for him.
“There were three players that I wanted to bring in. One who has been at Punjab Kings for three or four years—Arshdeep Singh. I also wanted to bring in a captain who I have worked with before and who has had a lot of success. So, we went after Shreyas Iyer. I also wanted to bring in Yuzi. So the Indian guys that we have are perfect,” Ponting said on a podcast.
“And then, we had to make a few tweaks as the auction went on to make sure we ended up with a really good squad. I am trying to make things different and rebuild and have the right people around me. But these three were non-negotiables,” the former Aussie captain added.
