Watch: Virat Kohli poses with DDCA support staffs, Security and fans after Delhi crushed Railway by an Inning and 19 runs, video goes viral

New Delhi: In the ongoing match between Railways and Delhi, the first innings saw Railways put up a total of 241 runs in 67.4 overs. Anchit Yadav played a crucial knock, top-scoring with 79 runs. Along with key contributions from M Saif (24) and Upendra Yadav (9), Railways struggled to build partnerships. Delhi’s bowlers, especially Siddhant Sharma and Navdeep Saini, were instrumental in the breakdown, picking up 3 wickets each. Sumit Mathur and Money Grewal also contributed with vital wickets.

For Delhi, the major story was the return of Virat Kohli to the Ranji Trophy after almost 13 years. His much-anticipated return, however, was short-lived. Kohli faced only 15 balls in his brief innings, scoring just 6 runs before being dismissed by Railways’ pacer Himanshu Sangwan. The delivery sent Kohli’s off-stump flying, and despite briefly showing glimpses of his class with a boundary, Kohli was dismissed early. His fans, who had eagerly awaited his performance, were left disappointed as his return was marred by this early exit.

In response, Delhi posted a challenging total of 374 runs, led by a brilliant 109 from Arpit Rana. Other key contributions came from Ayush Badoni (99), Yash Dhull (32), and Kohli’s brief stay. However, it was Kohli’s much-anticipated return that dominated the headlines, which ultimately ended in disappointment due to Sangwan’s precise delivery.

As soon as the match concluded, a flood of support staff, security personnel, and team members, including players from the opposing team, rushed to capture the special moment with Virat Kohli. Despite his rough patch continuing to haunt him, both Kohli and his fans remained hopeful. It was reported that Kohli, along with senior Test players from the Indian team, were instructed to participate in the Ranji Trophy match. However, apart from Ravindra Jadeja, who performed well, the rest of the squad’s performances were subpar.

Watch the video to see how Virat Kohli, without showing any signs of frustration, happily posed for photos with the support staff.
